Your barn wedding at Manor Mews

From the winding country lanes that lead to Manor Mews’ entrance to the awe-inspiring Great Barn, this is an utterly unique spot to celebrate your wedding. And you’ll have exclusive use of this destination wedding venue on your chosen date.

The Great Barn is an all-in-one venue, meaning your celebrations will flow seamlessly from ceremony to reception, with the option to hold welcome drinks in the garden and evening food on the patio. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or something on a much larger scale, Manor Mews can cater for weddings of all sizes perfectly.

Saying “I do"

Your civil ceremony in the Great Barn will be a truly memorable event…

Picture fairy lights tangled around the huge beams, candles and flowers placed in the windows, and high ceilings that create a grand sense of space.

The aisle can be placed across the length or width of the Great Barn, depending on how many guests you have. Where you say your vows is up to you – standing in front of the exposed brick wall offers a memorable photo opportunity, while a spot next to the patio doors allows you a glimpse of the garden and rolling countryside outside.

The Great Barn is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 120 guests.

If you’ve always dreamed of having a more intimate, religious wedding ceremony but still want to celebrate in the Great Barn afterwards, All Saint’s Church is a short walk along the footpath.

The Reception

Once you’ve tied the knot, head outside and explore the wonderful grounds during your drinks reception. Pose for pictures outside the Manor House or enjoy a glass of Champagne under the pergola. And what could be better than garden games in the sun with all your guests? If the weather is inclement, you’ll have plenty of space in the Great Barn to raise a glass or two.

When it comes to your wedding breakfast, there are a wealth of options when it comes to utilising the space and arranging your furniture. Perhaps you’d like a long table to take centre stage, so you and your family can see all your guests’ happy faces in the light of the patio windows? Alternatively, a long table looks perfect at the top of the room, where you’ll be able to look out on the grand beams of the Great Barn. Or, why not dot smaller tables around the space – then everyone can wander freely from table to table, greeting friends old and new.

Pristine white tablecloths, floral or candle centrepieces and bow-backed chairs will bring the whole space together, and your encouraged to inject it with your own tastes and personality. Place your seating chart outside on the gravel path in the summer, decorate the windows with hurricane lanterns, and arrange baskets filled with blankets, flip flops or sweets along the exposed brick wall for your guests to enjoy. However you choose to decorate the barn, you’ll have plenty of time to do it. With the exclusive use of Manor Mews, you are more than welcome to come and style the venue how you want the day before, and the team will be more than happy to help you too. This means you’ll have more time on the day for enjoying yourself.

There’s room for up to 200 people during your reception, leaving space for a live band or DJ and of course, the dancefloor. Need a break from the dancing? Join your loved ones at the gorgeous oak bar, or step outside onto the patio and take in the day so far.
